Musical Ride

Hi everyone,
We are still in Almonte Ontario and today we went to see the Canadian Mounted police preform their Musical Ride. It was a real treat to watch those horses trot to the music. They are certainly beautiful animals!
We discovered yesterday our refrigerator is not working. It looks like we need a new one or possibly new coils. The main problem is where to have it fixed and how long we will have to wait for parts.
Tomorrow is Victoria Day so nothing will be open until tuesday.

3 days on the road

Hi,
We've just completed our first 3 days on the road.
It was hard to leave the house with all the flowers blooming and the pool open and waiting for warm enough temps. We came to Canada driving along the Saint Lawrence seaway, with views of the thousand islands.
We are staying at a fairground in Almonte, (about 15 miles from Ottawa.) It is beautiful here right by the Mississippi Mills River, NOT OUR MISSISSIPPI! Today we went into Ottawa on the bus to see the Tulip Festival. There are more than 1 million tulips blooming, along the Rideau Canal. We took a boat ride on the canal to view them but tomorrow we will take the car in and ride our bikes, I'm sure we'll get a better view that way. Once again they are not at their peak, we should have been here last week.

The second picture is allong the seaway.

On the road again

Hi,
It's Thursday and we are leaving Milton heading for Ottawa CA. and the Ontario Unit rally, hopefully in time for the tulip festival. When we were here 6 years agio the tulips were just about over. We will be staying over for 3 days between rallies. The WBCCI Region 2 rally is next at the same location. It is a little sad to leave our kids and grandkids knowing we will be gone for a year. The yard looks beautiful with all the spring rodos and azalias blooming! The kids are going to take care of it while we are away.
